After my family faced the frightening experience of two separate heart incidents I was forced to decouple carbs from our two-generation jollof recipe. This simple action revealed the stunning flexibility of jollof as a standalone sauce. Gradually our old friend became a heart-healthy, time-saving, fixture in our low carb diet.

OUR HISTORY
Few foods hold as much cultural importance in Africa as does jollof rice. The dish dates back to the 12th century Wolof empire in modern day Senegal. As the empire expanded the Wolof people carried their “golden rice“ to the furthest corners of West Africa. Each day we're motivated to live by their example in translation.
